Violin Serenade by Nora Hernandez
A Song of Love...For Married People
Let me play a song of love
on our violin sculpted from hearts
born with urgent yearning
guided by luminous stars
while lovingly fired by fate
igniting our desires.
We'll don old clothes
like our parents
playing house and buying groceries
doing all mundane little things
and enjoying it
while we pretend to be grownups
knowing all along
the violin awaits
for those in-between moments
longing to play passion's fiery inspired song
over and over again.

As one married person to another, I wish you the best that Cupid has to offer on his special day.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bob!
ReplyDeleteA lovely piece you wrote here, for a cute picture! Happy Valentines sweet friend, so glad I met you! :)
ReplyDeleteJo,
ReplyDeleteHappy to know you, too!
'violin sculpted from hearts' what a nice picture those words paint.
ReplyDelete'Married People' sounds contageous and terminal. We can only hope that it is.
Dan, marriage terminal? LOL. I didn't know you could die from it. Contagious, you say? A vaccine, we need a vaccine...am I rambling again?
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable picture! Look at those giant shoes!! LOL
ReplyDeleteYour poem is very romantic, and I too liked the "violins sculpted from hearts" line. :) Hope your Day of Cupid was just as romantic!
By the way, I followed a truck down the road the other day. Name of the company stenciled on the back... "BBL Co"
Who knew?!?!? blblblblb!!!
Nan, I see our company makes pipes. I know there's a joke in there somewhere. Maybe the sound of water going through the pipes: blblblblblbl.
