The Dog's Life
(A Perfect Day)
Walking green grass nature pathways
stopping to sip from velvet streams,
they cleanse, they cool, they make me stay
and rest perchance set free my dreams.
I hear his call or so it seems,
home to sleep in dogged pleasure
where cushioned comforts make more dreams,
happiness beyond all measure.
